Charcoal, whether it be in pencil form or stick form, is always so much fun to use. I have created some of my favorite pieces using charcoal. Typically, I prefer to use pencils as I feel they offer more control and allow for more detail work. As a realism artist I like to make my work look almost photographic, and this medium allows me to do just that! Below I show two of my proudest charcoal works, all freehanded!
